The phone modem has a battery indicator light on the front of the device. If the battery was installed correctly, the light will display the status of the battery. Please note that you may need to press a reset button on the battery backup unit for it to boot from battery power if a new battery is installed when no AC power is connected.
It is your responsibility to monitor the health of the battery and obtain a replacement if the battery is reaching the end of its useful life.
